Infertility & Gratitude

I know the subject of infertility seems like it has nothing to do with art and design… But I promise there is a point to this story. I hope you’ll keep reading… Andrew and I were married in the Bountiful, Utah Temple in 2009. Throughout the first few years of our marriage, Andrew pursued his computer science degree (while STILL working full time! What a trooper!) and I worked a full-time day job as well as worked to build my own design business on the side. Long evening hours were spent with Andrew slaving over homework, and me slaving over my quilting machine and […]

Introducing the Digital Design Loyalty Club!

Hello, computerized quilting enthusiasts! I have been designing computerized quilting patterns for over 4 years now. Over that time, I have come up with over 1000 designs! Since I launched my website in April of 2015 I have been listing those designs on my site little by little. Now that you have quite a few to pick from, I wanted to find a way to show appreciation for all the support I have been shown by those of you who have purchased and used my designs. So, without further adieu, I would like to introduce to you the Digital Design […]

A Quilt For The Home ❤

In the almost 7 years that I have been a quilter, I have attempted to make a quilt for the hubby and I maybe once or twice. The first time I tried, (about 4 years ago) the quilt top I spent about 15 hours piecing got ripped in half right before my eyes by someone who thought that the piecing was not good enough for a bed quilt. Yep, that happened to me. (That will be a blog post for another time… when I finish the top, or can even look at the 2 halves without crying.) So a few years have passed, […]

Graffiti Quilting You Can Color!

As I am sure you are aware by now, I PUBLISHED MY VERY FIRST COLORING BOOK!!! With over 50 different designs to color, I am super proud of this book! Booyah! I am proud to announce that it was a huge success: selling over 150 copies in the first month! The idea of a coloring book was stewing in my mind before I did my Graffiti Quilting World tour at the beginning of the summer. But I just wasn’t quite sure if the “adult coloring book train” was one that I wanted to ride. (Not that I don’t love coloring […]

Shimmering Symphony – Get it now!

Hi everyone! I know it’s been a little while since I have blogged. If you follow my Facebook or Instagram, you’ll notice that something that has been extremely prevalent in my life lately is the circulation of a photo of my quilt titled “Shimmering Symphony“ Along with that publicity came NUMEROUS inquiries about how someone could purchase this quilt, or one just like it. (No joke, it was like 7-8 emails A DAY from people asking to buy it.) Unfortunately, there is only 1 single Shimmering Symphony quilt. Now, obviously, that was a really hard question to answer, especially in […]

World Traveler!

This summer I have had the ride of my life! After the Graffiti Quilting book was published in the Fall of 2014, I got numerous requests to visit various places to teach the Graffiti Quilting Class. Believe it or not, I am still in college working on my Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts/2D design. So, the window of opportunity for travel was quite narrow. In the first week of May (Right after spring semester ended) I was able to share my quilting expertise with the wonderful people of Canada. The first stop was in Calgary, hosted by Deb of Loopy […]

Houston International Quilt Festival

I am sure that many of you have heard of Houston International Quilt Festival. For those of you who haven’t, just imagine a quilt show with exhibits and vendors and classes. Now times that by about 50. That is Houston. The Mother Ship. The Major League. The Big Kahuna. Okay. You get the idea. I was able to go to it this year, and I had a wonderful time! (This show has been going on for 40 years now. Kinda cool.) Here is some of the fun pictures I took while I was there: I bought some BEAUTIFUL fabric from […]

Holy Ship!

The last 7 days has been absolutely insane! (I am now realizing that I probably start a lot of blog posts that way, hahaha!) Last week I received my first production order of my very first (hopefully of many) published book. Graffiti Quilting: A Simple Guide to Complex Designs For those of you who don’t know, here is a little back story on this book. I started it about mid-May of 2014. Through the passed couple years, I have really been polishing my very own style, my signature, if you will, in quilting. While some of the influences come from […]
